Camp Artaban, near Peace River
Overview
The Vision Quest is a sacred ceremony rooted in Indigenous teachings. It includes fasting, prayer, and time in communion with the Creator and the natural world.
This gathering brings together Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in a respectful learning environment. Participants may attend as helpers (oskapewis), take part in a four-day solitary fast if deemed ready by ceremony leaders, or participate in the accompanying workshops and teachings.
The purpose of this gathering is to counter the harms of residential schools by living the teachings passed down by our Elders and ancestors.
