The Peace River Aboriginal Interagency Committee proudly presents the 14th Annual Aboriginal Youth Career Workshop — a full-day event designed to inspire Indigenous youth to explore careers, connect with professionals, and build confidence in their future paths.
For over a decade, this workshop has brought together youth and industry leaders from across Northern Alberta. From trades to post-secondary pathways to entrepreneurship, students gain real-world insight from those who have walked the path before them.
What the Day Looks Like
• Approximately 25 career tables
• 8–10 students per table
• 20-minute presenter sessions
• 3 rotations per group
• Industry booths surrounding the main floor
Youth will have structured conversations with presenters and also time to visit booths, ask questions, and gather information.
Lunch is provided.

We invite businesses, agencies, entrepreneurs, and professionals to:
Host a booth Serve as a career table presenter Provide hands-on demonstrations Bring tools, visuals, or materials from your field Donate items for student draws

Sponsorship Opportunities

Event Budget
Total event cost: $18,550
Major expenses include keynote speakers, catering, facility rental, honorarium for Elders, and presenter support.

Indigenous youth in Northern Alberta deserve access to career information that reflects both opportunity and cultural identity. This workshop provides direct mentorship, exposure to career pathways, and practical information students can bring home to their families.
